"Sydney showed me that an old dog truly can learn new tricks! By the time I admitted I needed professional help dealing with my leash aggressive nine-year-old dachshund, I already felt at the end of my rope.  I didn't like going on walks anymore  and just felt defeated that nothing I did made the situation any better. Sydney gave me the tools I needed to work with my dog and find successful ways to manage (and reverse) all of the bad habits we had developed over our nine years together. She was kind, compassionate, fun, and full of love for my scrappy little dog. She helped us form new, and healthy, dog habits that made our lives enjoyable again.

After I adopted a  new mini-dachshund puppy that refused to walk on a leash, I immediately called Sydney!  She took my growing frustration with my adorable new addition and got us started on a path  to success.  Sydney listens, she works with owners where they are, helps build their confidence in working with their dogs, and makes you feel safe asking for help.  Her solutions are simple, and fun, and I am amazed at how easily she can owners get on track to better support health dog behaviors.  Her calm demeanor, even when my own anxiety was rising, always helped me get back to a better place in dealing with my dogs.  Me and my pack of mini-dachshunds are still a work in progress--but having Sydney's help has brought immeasurable joy to the process of training my pets.  It doesn't feel like a chore, but more a fun way to bond with each of them, build our relationship, and continue to connect in positive ways."

Sydney has done so much to help my little crew of block headed bullies, from guiding me through the insanity of puppyhood, to improving their lives through adulthood, and now that they're seeing their golden years helping them and myself adjust to our new normal and the challenges that can arise. I love that she has not only guided my dogs to have the skills to navigate the challenges of the day-to-day, from house manners, leash manners, and being neutral when faced with difficult situations (think being lunged at, barked at, having people trying to touch them without consent) but she's also helped us find new and fun ways for them to express their breed specific traits in a safe and healthy way. All along the way she's helped me become a better handler, her honesty and focus on helping me to understand the why behind what we're doing, and how to effectively incorporate those actions into my daily routine with the dogs has allowed me to recognize where I was setting my dogs up for failure and improve. I also love seeing the relationships she's formed with my pups, they adore her and that means so much to me, that even more than my trust for her my dogs trust her. 10/10 wouldn't have it any other way.

I've known Sydney for about 8 years, when we originally brought our Siberian Husky to a training facility she then worked at and immediately loved her training style. Our husky had terrible impulse control, would scream/whine at stoplights or intersections because he didn't want to stop, and was a runner off-leash, and a bit leash aggressive (we had just moved to Chicago from a smaller town, so it was a big adjustment). Under Sydney's tutelage, our husky became quite the rockstar with the skills he acquired and the huge progress he made, including hiking off-leash with us, no longer whining/crying due to impatience, and having an impeccable heel and being an overall VERY good sidewalk dog in the big city. He went on to get his CGC Certification! We loved Sydney so much, that when she left this training facility, we stopped going shortly after because really, we only were there for Sydney. Her intuitive insight into dog behavior is incredible, and to this day when I think I have my dog figured out, Sydney has even more advice and information and guidance that is invaluable to me and my dogs, and usually is something I never even considered putting together. Sydney has always provided me a piece of the dog behavior puzzle that I didn't know I was missing, and most of all, Sydney taught me that a lot of dog training comes down to the dog owner and how WE behave. Sydney taught me how to be a better dog owner, and thus, my relationship with my dog, and my dog's overall behavior has THRIVED. You are amazing Sydney, we are fans and clients for LIFE.
